PRIVATE - On the Trail of Leonardo: A Guided Tour for Young Explorers
The guided tour for kids dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci retraces the stories and projects that connected the great Renaissance genius to Milan during his stay in the city at the end of the 15th century.
A fun walk will take us through the places most dear to the great artist, where we’ll discover his charisma and his endless curiosity about the world—curiosity that pushed him to study and investigate everything imaginable: from art to anatomy, animals to architecture, music to botany.
We’ll talk about Leonardo at the court of Ludovico il Moro in the Sforza Castle, see him experimenting with flight at the foot of the San Gottardo bell tower, explore his ideas for the Duomo of Milan, and learn about the period when he painted The Last Supper. Together, we’ll uncover his most brilliant ideas and extraordinary discoveries. With the help of a tablet, we’ll try reading his strange backward handwriting and admire some of his masterpieces, such as The Virgin of the Rocks, Lady with an Ermine, and the Portrait of a Musician—housed in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana along with the Codex Atlanticus, the largest existing collection of Leonardo’s writings and drawings.
When we arrive at La Scala Theatre, we’ll meet his most important pupils and understand the immense impact Leonardo da Vinci had on history—recognized as both a great scientist and a world-famous artist. But we’ll also discover a more playful side: Leonardo loved jokes and puzzles, leaving behind mysterious riddles and secrets waiting to be solved.
The Leonardo Tour for Children is a fun and curious way to step into Leonardo’s world, exploring it with the same wonder and curiosity that the great Florentine brought to every natural phenomenon he observed.

Meet with a private licensed tour guide in Milan. Guided tour of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece: 'The Last Supper'. The well-known painting is located inside the refectory of the religious complex commissioned by
Duke Lodovico il Moro in 1495. Afterwards, visit to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, designed by the local Renaissance architects Solari brothers, enriched by the dome attributed to Bramante. The itinerary will continue, through an evocative route among the historic palaces of downtown Milan, to the Castello Sforzesco, which will be admired from the outside in all its elegant grandeur: a monument erected in the 13th century and embellished by the genius of Leonardo during his stay in Milan at the court of the Sforza family. This will be followed by a
leisurely stroll to Milan Cathedral and its vast, world-renowned square.
